The Lower Saxony State Institute Quality Development in Schools (NLQ)

The Lower Saxony State Institute for Quality Development in Schools has about 140 full-time members of staff.
NLQ initiates and supports processes of quality development at schools and in the education system in Lower Saxony by

• developing curricula, guidelines and evaluating schoolbooks 
• state-wide coordination, evaluation and documentation of pilot schemes 
• offering further education for teachers 
• European and international projects in education 
• school inspection and evaluation 
• developing and establishing competencies in school and quality management

For more than 10 years now, the project group European and International Affairs at NLQ has been coordinating and operating the European and international education collaboration of Lower Saxony.
