LISA – Leadership improvement on student achievement

The core question of LISA is concerned with the role that principals leadership styles, attitudes and practices can play in contributing to the improvement and effectiveness of the school, especially educational outcomes for the basic skills of students such as the ones examined under the PISA- program.
The overall purpose of the study is to explore how school leadership, directly or indirectly, affects student achievement. The international comparative approach is meant to uncover relevant differences between countries against the background of differences between national educational systems.
